The trauma a woman carries through fertility, pregnancy and birth.

Some of the most overlooked trauma a woman will ever carry happens on the journey to motherhood. Through trying to conceive, through loss, through pregnancy and birth. It is rarely named as trauma, and even more rarely treated. The Carried guide and tool kit changes that.

Ruth’s extensive work within the field of fertility and birth trauma has led to her training and teaching hospitals, clinics and clinicians to learn to recognise the fertility, pregnancy and birth trauma that sits, unnamed, in so many of us and understand why insight alone so rarely reaches it.

The Carried tool kit gives a clear, clinical way to recognise this trauma across every stage, and to know what to do when they find it. Inside you will find stage by stage screening for fertility, pregnancy and postpartum, a practitioner guide to telling trauma apart from belief and anxiety, ready to use client pull out sheets, and a clear referral pathway with escalation guidance.

It is grounded in the science of the nervous system, and in fifteen years of clinical practice. Loggable as CPD, and built to use with clients from the moment you open it.

Recognising this work is one skill. Treating it is another. This is where it begins.
